From its beginnings on the other side of the Atlantic to its evolution under the direction of Renaud Cardinal in France, Addiction Surfboards is above all a story of passion and transmission.

It all began on the wild coast of Canada, where Louis Robert, a passionate shaper, fashioned his first boards inspired by the classic lines of Californian surfing. Based in Tofino, he developed a unique approach combining performance and aesthetics, influenced by the raw environment of the North Pacific.

Over time, Addiction Surfboards has become much more than just a label: it's a philosophy of shape, a focus on innovation and pure craftsmanship.

When Louis Robert decided to move back to Canada, he entrusted Addiction Surfboards to Renaud Cardinal, a passionate shaper who was already well established in the world of Shapers Club (formerly UWL).

Rather than freeze the heritage, Renaud and his team are breathing new life into the brand, while remaining true to its DNA. They are revisiting the designs, optimising the shapes and retaining the strong identity that has made Addiction's reputation.

Each Addiction surfboard is designed with absolute attention to detail. Shapes inspired by the great classics, but revisited to offer greater fluidity and responsiveness. Top-of-the-range materials, with meticulous work on tinted resins, glassing and finishes. A refined, timeless aesthetic, where each board tells a story.
